AS-R8-1 is a Multiple Spring Mechanical Seal with a highly effective ‘O’-Ring Mounted  design, commonly used in chemical and petrochemical duties. Frequently fitted along with the Type 25 clamped Stationary. 

A PTFE backup ring is recommended to be specified for higher pressure ‘O’-Ring applications.
