What is the application range of simple mechanical seals Process pumps in the petrochemical industry require special considerations in the selection of materials and structures for mechanical seals due to different working pressures, temperatures and properties of the medium. As a result, the structure of the mechanical seal is complex, with many parts and high technical requirements for installation, resulting in high prices. For some non-corrosive neutral media and working conditions with low pressure and temperature, it is unnecessary to choose the same mechanical seal as the one chosed under harsher conditions.
Medium:Non-corrosive or weakly corrosive and particle-free medium, Temperature -15~+80℃; Pressure ≤0.5MPa; Speed ≤3000r/min; Shaft diameter ∅30~60mm.
The sealing parameters to be controlled mainly include load factor, bellows compression and specific pressure. Too large or too small load factor K (K=0.63~0.85) is unfavorable. The amount of compression of the bellows of such kinds of mechanical seals determines the size of the elastic specific pressure. The elasticity of the rubber bellows of such kind of mechanical seals is related to the working temperature and time. The initial compression elasticity is relatively large, and the elasticity tends to be stable after 4 to 6 hours. The compression amount of the rubber bellows is 2~3mm, and the total contact ratio is 0.2MPa, and the minimum is not less than 0.05MPa.
