According to design requirements and conditions, mechanical seals can be designed in the following order:

     (1) Determination of the design scheme: including the selection of requirements, conditions, structural types and materials, the determination of the main dimensions of auxiliary devices and seals, and the selection and comparison of existing series of products;

     (2) Design and calculation of main components: mainly refers to the design and calculation of seal pairs, auxiliary seals, elastic elements and fasteners;

     (3) Design and calculation of auxiliary devices: mainly the scheme comparison of auxiliary measures in auxiliary devices and calculation of specific parameters;

     (4) Selection and determination of the material and manufacturing process of the main components;

     (5) The whole set of drawings and main technical conditions.
