Points to note when using elastomer bellow mechanical seals:

When using elastomer bellow mechanical seal,the aging of rubber should be taken into account and an interference fit (when diameter of the part is 20～150 mm, usually interference value is 2～6mm ) should be adopted , it should be maken sure that the spring not only compress the bellows but also have outer clamp. All these measures are meant to ensure tightness of the bellows and the connecting piece. In order to protect bellows from pressure of medium, when calculating friction force of mechanical seal bellows on friction pair,interaction force between bellows and installed parts must be considered.
